HI, I'm Navya.

I’m a self-taught designer who graduated from San Jose State University in May 2020 with a major in American Studies and a minor in Computer Science. While an odd mix, I find that studying these two opposing fields makes me a more empathetic problem-solver.

I care a lot about making impact. In the past, I’ve worked as a Design Fellow for the City of Boston, a Design Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a Design Strategy Fellow at the International Trade Administration as part of the Civic Digital Fellowship, and a UX Research intern at Fidelity Investments.

From my very untraditional background, it’s clear that I am many things: a designer, a computer programmer, and strategist. But outside of my professional career, I also consider myself an aspiring writer, an avid crocheter, a novice YouTuber, and a terrible (but well-intentioned) baker.

"We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present." - Anais Nin
